A Great Time at Arch & Eddie’s

A Great Time at Arch & Eddie’s

Jackson, Ohio has a well-kept secret that must be shared. My husband John and I recently met with friends Jimmie and Rita at Arch & Eddie’s Gathering House in the heart of downtown at 181 E. Main St. We had talked about dining there for quite some time, and on a beautiful summer evening we finally made the 45 minute jaunt down south. It was a trip worth waiting for!

The restaurant is located in the former Colonial that had been a landmark for years in this small Ohio town.  But new owner Jennifer Radcliff has revamped the place so Arch & Eddie’s has made its own mark. They feature American cuisine, a comfortable atmosphere and an attentive staff which is a triple play when it comes to a great dining experience.

The Steak Medallions were tender as was the New York Strip and were served with a choice of sides that included sauteed mixed veggies and golden yellow Yukon potato cubes or fried onion rings. I found the Cobb Salad the best I’ve ever had with large pieces of crispy buttermilk fried chicken and a generous portion of Monterey Jack cheese, red onion, bacon, tomato and topped with hard boiled egg slices and crumbled Blue Cheese crumbles.

When you visit ask Jennifer how she came up with the name Arch & Eddie’s which you could never guess. Bon Appetit!
