HOW TO WRITE WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND

"Writing is easy: All you do is sit staring at a
blank sheet of paper until drops of blood form on your forehead."

— Gene Fowler

We all have something to say and so many options available in which to express ourselves. In this world of advanced technology, there are many venues, but first we have to evaluate the worth of the words we use.

This site has been created not only to reach a broader audience for my work, but also to interact with those who want to know more about the written word, how to develop a message worth reading, and how to get that word out to an audience. From the fearful writer who hesitates to put his or her thoughts down on paper to the budding writer who needs the confidence to pull that dusty manuscript out of the desk drawer and prepare to send it to a publisher, both are just a few steps away from being acknowledged writers.

Perhaps the problem is technical - preparing the manuscript in the proper format for the publisher's eyes. Perhaps the problem is using proper grammatical structure and crafting a message that is clear and concise. Perhaps it is mechanical - writing that requires an editor's review. Whatever the case, as a seasoned instructor and writer, I have dedicated my life to improving the writing skills of my students.

So where do we start...EMAIL ME and share the obstacles that are preventing you from taking the next step with your writing.

"The act of putting pen to paper encourages pause for thought, this in turn makes us think more deeply about life, which helps us regain our equilibrium."
— Norbet Platt
